Doing a Panama Canal cruise had been on our books for a while, something we always wanted to do. This opportunity on Norwegian Star in January 2018 came along, and we felt it was a good deal. It would take us to warmer climates during the cold winter time as well. It left out of Miami on January 20th and would end in Los Angeles on February 2nd. A good 2-week warm weather vacation.
We flew to Miami a few days ahead of our cruise, wanting to make sure we got there in time, and giving us a chance to acclimate before boarding. The first leg of the flight was Vancouver to Toronto, but the plane was late getting in, so our connecting flight was missed. We had to split up with our travel mates, but we all (eventually) arrived safe and sound and ready to start our Panama Canal adventure.
