Caribbean-Cuba RCCL (Day 5) George Town, Cayman Islands

Our next stop was Georgetown, Cayman Islands. we had visited for the first time a week before on our MSC cruise. Again, we weren't keen to do any of the ship's excursions, so we spent a little more time wandering the streets off the main drag. Turns out - not so interesting. So we spent more time accessing the free wifi.

Another nice day to be anchored in the harbour. Tendering ashore in Georgetown is time consuming, but the distance is at least short.

Also in port was the new Celebrity Edge - a state of the art ship. Our ship, Empress of the Seas, seemed kinda small by comparison. (But with a charm all it's own.)

Off the main drag, we were greeted with some of the "real charm" of Georgetown. Like this drab building.

At least we found their local MacDonald's, featuring a drunk chicken instead of a (probably drunk) clown.

More buildings set back from the tourist street.

"The DMS headquarters is located in the Cayman Islands, making it the ideal choice for organizations seeking informed governance solutions and guidance in successfully launching a Cayman Fund."

At least we came across some colourful flowers beside the sidewalk.

The beach. But not the one everyone goes to when they go on a beach excursion. This is just a few feet of sand off the main drag.

Back onboard, we watched as a tender made it's way out to Celebrity EDGE.
