After looking at alternatives to make our way over to Europe for our Baltic Cruise in May-June 2018, we decided to go by Transatlantic cruise - not a bad way to avoid jet lag. 😉 So this journal is about this first part of our big trip - the Transatlantic cruise, followed by the two cities we visited on land prior to arriving in Copenhagen - the home port for the Baltic cruise portion. The Baltic cruise will be journaled under a separate section.
The purpose of this blog is to give a quick photo journal of our stops along the way. I won't be going into detail about the ship (lots of info about various cruise ships out there), and I won't be talking about what we did on sea days - every ship has more than enough activities to keep you busy on sea days, it's more about what we saw and did in our ports of call.
For the first leg of our trip, we flew to Tampa, Florida, had a day to explore, then embarked Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Seas for a 14-night Transatlantic cruise, disembarking in Barcelona. We then spent 3 nights in Barcelona before flying on to Brussels for 3 nights. From there we headed to Copenhagen for 3 nights ahead of our Baltic cruise.
